Don’t miss a short trip to Bodrum, which is a charming and fascinating harbour town
on the Aegean. Traditionally inhabitants earned their living through fishing, boat-
building, agriculture and weaving. The modern Bodrum has become a tourist centre,
but is also famous as a centre for artists and an arts centre.
The heart of the town is based around the harbour, with narrow streets, local shops
selling traditional crafts, bars and restaurants – all jostling together under the
shadow of the St. Peter Castle. Try the light aniseed flavoured national drink “Raki”
or locally produced wine. As night falls, Bodrum lights up with flashing neon and
laser shows to the throb of the latest dance music.
A short trip outside town takes you to delightful & picturesque villages on the
peninsula.
