The weather in Majorca is stereotypical of the Mediterranean. The temperatures remain high
in the summer when the climate is hot and dry, and the summer months receive just 10% of the
annual rainfall. September through until November are the wettest months with over 40% of the
annual rainfall yet the temperatures remain mild during this period.
February: Carnival parades with fancy dress balls which mark the end of the carnival
before lent.
March: Semana Santa which is held in Palma, a procession leaves the church of La Sang
carrying a crucifix.
April: Princess Sofia Trophy is one of the most important yachting regattas in the
Balearics.
