It’s worth visiting the many art galleries and museums in Lyon since they hold legendary tales, and
fine art examples spread over centuries of living. A great place to explore is the Musee des Artes-Decoratif,
where many old musical instruments, dolls, furniture and other mementoes from the 17th and 18th century, are
displayed. The Lacroix-Laval Mansion that houses this display also provides an interesting history to
compliment the tour.
Whilst in lyon, why not take a tour of the Roman amphitheatre and temple foundations dating from 17 to 15 BC.
The odium section still retains its floor of mosaics and porphyry. Another wonderful part of Lyon are the
old city traboules, which are secret passages used by silk manufacturers and other merchant traders. You’ll
find this a fascinating exploration.
