Because of Turkey’s size and location there are many different weather and climatic conditions
throughout the year. In the Mediterranean and Aegean regions the summer months are hot and dry
with the winter months being wet and mild. The coastal resorts shut down during the winter and
are only fully open from May till October, during the best weather.
The azure waters are the perfect setting for a wide range of water sports from windsurfing and
waterskiing to scuba diving and snorkeling. The hills above provide the ideal launch pad for
paragliders and hang gliders, while the white sand below is a great spot for landing.
