Visit the fascinating island of Nyssiros, totally unspoilt, cultural and beautiful, and
home to a spectacular volcano site. Step onto the crater and stand in awe as you take in
the breathtaking surroundings, whilst movie buffs will marvel at the set of many films,
including James Bond. Back in the village of Mandraki whitewashed houses line the streets
and you can savour traditional delicacies, or climb the steps to the nearby chapel dedicated
to the lady of the cave.
Clear sunny days grace the islands of Greece collectively. In fact, the climate is one of the
many attractions of Greece being largely sunny and dry for two thirds of the year. Although
temperatures vary it is more often than not, that winters are also mild with some rain. The
mountainous regions make the difference however. The temperature here can drop to freezing
and snow will frequently fall as winter approaches.
The Greek island of Kos offers many attractions for you to enjoy, from the coastal beauty to
the treasures found in the towns, there is simply something for everyone. Visit Kos Town and
admire the castle and the local ruins, or come and see the ancient plane tree of Hippocrates.
The marinas are beautifully illuminated in the evening, lined with colourful fishing boasts,
whilst pretty blue roofs and whitewashed houses offer timeless sights during the day. Kos is
a beautiful island everyone will enjoy.
