Spend a day touring the extremely popular chocolate trail, fair and museum. Considered the world’s
capital of chocolate by some, Bruges offers several boutiques to purchase delicious flavours for
everyone back home. Alternatively, you could lose yourself in the romantic folklore of age old

a cheap city break to Bruges.
The Alsmhouses are little villages surrounding Bruges, and are described as medieval courts.
Whitewashed fronts, beautiful gardens and a tranquil setting make them the hidden gems of the
city. Flanders’ prettiest village namely Lissewege, is also nearby and is an extremely popular
attraction due to its quaint and relaxing feel. Bruges Museums, medieval walls, ancient churches
and traditional lifestyle, ensure a perfect city break is had by all.
One of the great ways to explore Bruges would be to follow the routes of the canals, leading you to
historic bridges, hidden gardens and charming waterfront buildings. The medieval display can also be
seen from the Belfry, an independence symbol of Bruges itself, or from the brick tower of the Church
of Our Lady. Making up part of the fantastic view is the 14th century city hall, standing tall in
Burg Square and denoting the wealth of a truly fascinating area.
