To qualify all you have to do is:

• Ensure that the holiday company offers you the same ATOL protection as we do
• Ensure that the holiday details are exactly the same as the one you have booked with us, (this includes the flight operator, flight number and departure and arrival times. The departure and arrival airports must be the same airport as the one you have booked). In summary, the holiday must be based on a like for like basis and cannot include promotional vouchers that you may be eligible to redeem.
• Ensure the holiday is available at the time of informing us

We reserve the right to validate your claim and our customer service team will check the availability of your chosen holiday with the competing company.

The Guaranteed Holiday Price Promise is not applicable to Group bookings.

What Is ATOL And Why Is It So Important

ATOL is short for “Air Travel Organisers Licensing” and exists to protect the general public from losing money or being stranded abroad because of the failure of travel firms. It was introduced in 1972 and gives comprehensive consumer protection to over 28 Million people in the UK who buy flights or air holidays each year.

In January 2008, the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) produced a guidance note to end the confusion surrounding whether or not travel retailers have to provide protection to their customers when booking holidays on their behalf. In our view and in almost every case, all travel retailers providing holiday packages are required to hold an ATOL and additionally have to comply with a further act, “the Package Travel Regulations Act 1992”.
